Welcome to the official Region 2 website. Alpha Phi Omega is the national, co-educational, service fraternity that sets the standard for campus-based volunteerism. Since 1925, Alpha Phi Omega has made a positive difference in the lives of college women and men and has helped to improve the quality of life for individuals in need. Nearly 300,000 students have been initiated into Alpha Phi Omega since our founding and our current Membership exceeds 17,000 students at approximately 350 colleges and universities. If you would like to learn more about the organization itself, please visit the national Alpha Phi Omega website.
Alpha Phi Omega in the United States of America is made up of chapters which are groups of individuals attending specific institutions of higher learning. Chapters are grouped together into sections representing either a state or portion thereof. Sections are grouped together into regions (there are presently eleven regions in the United States of America). Region 2 includes Sections 87, 88, 89, 90, 91 and 92 and covers all of Delaware; all counties of New York including and to the northwest of Dutchess, Sullivan and Ulster; and all counties of Pennsylvania including and to the east of Bedford, Blair, Centre, Clinton and Potter.

This year the Zeta Sigma chapter at the University of Delaware in Newark is hosting the sections 91 and 92 annual conference! With Saint Patrickâs Day being on the same weekend, and far more importantly, the national theme of emphasis being âBlue and Gold Go Green: Environmentalismâ, what could possibly be more fitting than the theme of this yearâs sectional conference than Itâs Always Service in Delaware: The Gang Goes Green! So for all of you Saint Patrickâs Day and Always Sunny in Philadelphia fans coming to the event, wear lots of green! Wear something that Mac, Charley, or those classy McPoyles would wear! And most definitely wear something creative!
The event will take place at UDâs Smith Hall on Saturday March 19th, with registration beginning at 8am. Because lunch is not being provided, the registration cost will only be $10 per person and includes a tâshirt, and should be done in advance by mailing it to Alpha Phi Omega at 218 Trabant University Center, Newark DE 19716.
APO LEADS courses will include Launch, Achieve, and Discover. Updates to the schedule will be made and shared soon.
For any questions regarding the conference feel free to contact us at apozetasigma@gmail.com. We look forward to seeing brothers from all over Delaware and Eastern Pennsylvania!
